the blind leading the blind…

I’m thankful WE MADE IT!

It’s not even 3pm Thursday and I’ve already taken a shower and am ready to head out to explore beautiful Seattle! RB is showering now. I can’t believe we MADE it – really. The trip got off to a rough start – RB has been burning the candle at both ends, so he didn’t get a lot of sleep the past few days, and he barely ate anything Wed. We had a weird snafu with the GPS and almost put the whole trip on hold. BUT, clearer heads prevailed and we kept on our way. We got on the road around 6:30pm Wed, drove through the night/next morning and made it to our Quality Inn Motel at 2pm – 1 hr early for check-in. BOOYA! It was dark during the “boring” states – Utah, Wyoming, and for the most part Idaho. I started my leg of the driving at 6am and went about 400 miles. The real champ was RB – he probably drove about 900 mi total. We almost hit a big buck in UT. I drove us into Oregon – really nice country – and almost into Washington, but let RB take over before then. Other than the rough start, the trip was pretty uneventful, thankfully! We are starving and are ready to gorge ourselves on seafood and beer! Lovin’ it so far.
